Kèr Ovbij̼let (/ˈovbij̼/ /let/ [race (competition); marathon] [bad]) is a subtropical Town located in Hoylånlye Hold, Fidhi̊si Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Kèr Ovbij̼let is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Ovbij̼let was founded by Glegfeshe Fluell Wynner Every, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Ovbij̼let has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 20°C (68°F). Overview

Kèr Ovbij̼let was founded durring the early 14th century in fall of the year 1308, by Glegfeshe Fluell Wynner Every. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Glegfeshe Fluell Wynner Every.

Kèr Ovbij̼let was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Ovbij̼let is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Kèr Ovbij̼let is is constructed arround a series of crampt packed earth mainstreets which form concentric circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to each other at varrious points. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The town's peasent-grade are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

Kèr Ovbij̼let has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Kèr Ovbij̼let ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Even with that as it is, everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or much of both. The town should be gone, not dying. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring just long enough for it to be uncomfortable.

The law within Kèr Ovbij̼let is highly corrupt, or does not apply to certain favored groups or castes. Strangers might be fleeced by local lawmen, evildoers can be absolved by a payment, and powerful gentry do as they please.

Kèr Ovbij̼let's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used makes use of a large oblong hall or building with double colonnades and a semicircular apse and symmetrical central-plan, resulting in buildings with a square central mass and four arms of equal length. In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century a local hero by the name of slew a monster which had been terrorizing the streets of Kèr Ovbij̼let. The recitation of the hero's story remains a popular tavern and fair tale.
